Hot Yoga
The room is heated from 91-100 degrees depending on the intensity of the class and the pacing of the teacher. The heat is designed to keep the body warm and the muscles more supple to avoid injuries. The sequences of poses are designed to increase flexibility and strength while releasing toxins from the body. The heat also helps detoxify from the inside out.
Understanding “Flow”
The classes generally begin with breathing exercises to connect the mind to the present moment. Vinyasa is a term that covers a broad range of yoga classes. The word Vinyasa means “breath-synchronized movement.” In other words, the teacher will instruct you to move from one pose to the next on an inhale or an exhale. This technique is sometimes also called Vinyasa Flow, or just Flow because of the smooth way that the poses run together and become like a dance. We offer classes for beginners, intermediate and advanced.
